When you open a massive, multi-volume architectural plan, you cannot understand the purpose of the first shovel hitting the dirt unless you have already seen the blueprint of the finished skyscraper. You cannot comprehend the tedious, meticulous preparation of the foundation unless you know exactly what is designed to inhabit the top floor.

Today, we are stepping back to the absolute beginning of the divine design. We are going back to Genesis. But we are not going back with a blind fold on. We are opening Part 1 of this teaching with the full, staggering foresight of where this entire cosmic story lands.

Every structure you see in the physical world began as an invisible design in an architect’s mind. Long before the foundation is poured, the steel is erected, or the finishing touches are applied, the architect has already mapped out the entire scope, the timeline, and the building’s ultimate purpose.

The text we read today from the opening of John’s Gospel introduces us to the Supreme Architect of the cosmos.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.”

The Beautiful Counterfeit – The Seed of Satan – Part 1

”The serpent said to Eve, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:4,15

If you walk into the average modern church today, you will find an institution whose very foundational framework can no longer bear the weight of the religiosity built upon it. From the outside, everything appears flawlessly executed. The lights are perfectly timed, the music is professionally produced, and the pulpits are filled with highly articulate leadership. But beneath the polished surface of modern Christendom lies a devastating, unspoken reality: The church is dying of thirst while drowning in religion.
